EUCCC study: Nothing New Under the Sun: Quotas Lead To Bad Patent Quality and Indigenous Innovation Policy Is Still Active

Dan Prud’homme of the European Chamber of Commerce in China wrote a study called Dulling the cutting edge: How Patent-Related Policies and Practices Hamper Innovation in China.

 

 

To summarise 226 pages: Prud’homme basically says that China’s patent promotion policy which includes quotas per 10,000 people is not conducive to quality and he asserts that some aspects of China’s indigenous innovation policy is still in force.
